has always been committed to the secure destruction and environmentally safe disposal of aramid material by recycling personal protective equipment. As part of our company’s philosophy, we have taken an active role in the destruction and recycling of para-aramid fibers. Due to the disposal problems related to ballistic body armor, we provide a service to law enforcement and military agencies throughout AMERICA to receive their out-of-service vests made of Kevlar®, Twaron® or Zylon® for processing and recycling
The fundamental purpose of ARMOUR DOG is to provide a critical service to police departments, military agencies, and manufacturing companies throughout North America by securely destroying and recycling an otherwise indestructible material. We accept, free of charge and in some case's will pay you and or for shipping, for our service, a wide variety of aramid fibers to be destroyed and recycled, thereby keeping them from entering landfill waste streams. Armour Dog Kevlar Recycling is currently capable of destroying and recycling the following aramid fibers: Zylon® Twaron® Kevlar® Although we do not currently have recycling capabilities for other meta-aramid and para-aramid fibers, we are able to accept and destroy all varieties of expired soft body armor.
